It’s easy to give things up to a higher power, to let go and let goodness knows what or who take the burden but is it bringing you, me or humanity any closer to our own power, to our own oneness, to our one being?

God, Goddess, the Universe, Angels, whatever you want to call it all want us to take responsibility for our actions, karma exists and can be negated faster than ever by doing just that; taking responsibility for our actions but the more you give it up to someone or something else the further you push true enlightenment away.

The age of Aquarius is the age of mankind, Aquarius is symbolised by a water bearer receiving divine guidance by pouring it onto earth to nurture it through that channel, to receive but to understand that through receiving we can nurture our earth, our humanity and our human spirit.

As we move towards the solstice, December 21^st, it’s not an event it’s the end of a chapter, marking the doorway into something new after all the hard work and as the ‘finger of god’ in the astrological chart of the day points to Jupiter in Gemini the answer to what December 21^st is truly about is simple, wisdom communicated. Aries
You can rest assured that those who know you well will know you’re coming from a good place, a place of integrity and you’ve considered your next move before moving forward. Taurus
Midweek Moon madness isn’t something to worry about, it’s new not full, but worth a mention as she’s in your relationship sky and there may be an urge to do something special for your other half, you crazy kids. If things aren’t going so well this new Moon, a total solar eclipse in fact, is bringing decisions that are long overdue. Clarity, in love or business is this week’s real gift to you Taurus.

Gemini
As your ruling planet Mercury is in reverse you know the drill, check all correspondence, keep the phone charged and make sure the MOT is up to date. Until Wednesday he’s still concentrating on your love life, then it’s your day to day working life, schedules and how you can help others that has a case of the fumbles. Take you time Gemini, slow yourself down and prevent misunderstandings.

Cancer
As Neptune moves in a more favourable direction your travel ban is lifted and plans can be made to move along a road less travelled should you choose. Yes Mercury is reversing but he is serving to show you who would not make good travelling companions and lining up those who will. Your ruler the Moon is new on Tuesday, a Moon that promises romance for some, be in it to win it.

Leo
You could have expected more support from family but they had things to do and you can’t blame them for being true to their own needs first, even if it’s not what you would do. Have the chat, let them know you’re not impressed and move on from it, no dramas required. Good luck with that. Finances get a boost from Sunday and you can see a way out of recent problems. Virgo
You and Gemini share Mercury as a ruling planet, but he works slightly differently for you as he’s your career ruler too. Scorpio
What great things can come your way with a total solar eclipse in your very own sign, what a birthday treat! It’s on Tuesday when my little sister has fifty reasons to celebrate, make that fifty-one with the Moon! Here’s a new chapter for you all, a chance to wipe away that which you no longer need or desire and to pursue that which you do. Ignore everything else, think turning point and turn, turn, turn.

Sagittarius
Timing is everything but how hard is it when Mercury is in reverse? For you double trouble as not only has he been in your sign he’s your career and relationship ruler. So now he’s moving back one and as he sits on your shoulder you really do have to think about right time, right place and contingency plans for both career and romance. Move slowly, nothing is gained by speeding things up.

Capricorn
You may need to stand up to someone who isn’t playing by the rules this week. Someone who thinks it’s ok to go their own way when everyone else is pulling in a different direction needs the benefit of your wisdom. Let’s leave it there. The primary influence in your week has to be the new Moon as she suggests some input into a relationship that takes you out of the boredom or routine, and on a Tuesday, imagine.

Aquarius
With your chart still buzzing with hi energy for career changes you may not appreciate Mercury trying to dampen things down, but wait, there’s a solar eclipse there too so surely that’s a positive thing? Indeed. Perhaps you don’t get what you want, you get way better? That’ll do nicely. Neptune is looking to increase funds, maybe this could be the way; money, status and reputation? Eventually.

Pisces
Neptune’s direct movement on Sunday has to be up there as number one this week, he’s been causing confusion for months but now he lifts the veil and shows you what’s going on with someone in your life. To help him, Mercury’s reversal into Lady Luck’s territory puts delays to work to your advantage, don’t moan about hold ups, look around you and see what treasures are waiting to be discovered.

In a world of fast food and fifty different ways to catch that TV show it’s easy to get lost, to assume that everything works on demand with nothing more than a flick of a switch and it’s there.

Of course that’s not the case for your soul, your personality is enjoying the trivia, and so it should, but your soul is more interested in how you react to those real people around you, how you work with the lessons you’ve chosen to embrace in this life, good and not so great. Past life work shows us that it’s a long road and even a seemingly insignificant little thing can grow and grow and take lifetimes to resolve if not tackled.

Karma often gets bad press but the simple truth is you created it, it’s yours to resolve. Nobody else will do it for you, they will support you, help you see possible scenarios but nobody, earthly or not, can remove it for you without putting the work in. Taking personal responsibility is required, the planet of responsibility himself, Saturn, governs Karma.

Saturn teaches us that life moves in cycles and as such these patterns are easy to spot when you stop long enough to see them, when you meditate, contemplate or talk things over with like minded souls. He is about to move, October 5^th, into the sign of Scorpio. If you know where that is in your natal chart it will give you an idea of what sort of challenges and blessings you’re likely to see. Scorpio is the sign of the psychic, occult and what’s usually hidden from view. Usually. But don’t see this move as something to worry about, see it as an amazing opportunity to take what you’re soul knows and work with it to clear away what you no longer need.

Also consider that sometimes you have done the work but haven’t acknowledged it, haven’t noticed how much you’ve changed and the old memories are cluttering up your subconscious and need to be released, or you’re ignoring the wonderfully positive things Karma has brought you; Know Thyself.

Now is the time to work on your Karmic path, to commit to looking at uncomfortable truths perhaps, and whilst it won’t be a quick fix for some the de-cluttering of the soul is well worth the effort, turns up the shine, increases the sparkle and leads the way for others to follow.

Summer Holidays

For some it’s a staycation, for others it’s two weeks as far away from their own front door as they can get but can your astrological sign give you some insights into your holiday plans, perhaps who you should avoid or whether this is your chance for a hot holiday romance? A sign by sign look at holidays, summer love and ice cream.

Aries

You love a bit of adventure, you like to go places where nobody else would think about going and if you can work in some sport then so much the better. It has to be physical for you Aries, you’re not the sitting around on the beach kind of individual, not that you mind it just not all the time. Summer love seems more likely closer to home than in a airport lounge, but don’t panic it could be some sporty Olympic fan here for the duration perhaps? Marvelous.

Taurus

We all know you like to eat and when you’re on holiday you really do want to see just how much you can eat, I hear you, so going somewhere with variety is important to you. Choose somewhere with gorgeous cafes and restaurants for you to dip in and out of and if there’s a spa then so much the better. You’re a sensual sign, so maybe a holiday is chance for you and your special companion to reconnect? Pack the candles and massage oil. Oh, and chocolate too of course!

Gemini

Variety is the spice of life and you like things not only spicy but with variety, a two or three city destination might suit you or one where the opportunity to do something different every day could fit into your plans? You’re not all about beaches, your mind needs to be kept busy as much as your skin has to be tanned, good books are a given but so are games and DVD’s, Mp3…the list goes on, you might not use them but take them and don’t forget that phone! Learn to flirt with a foreign tongue.

Cancer

You can have just as much fun out the back of yours in a tent if you’re with the right people, the right people being family of course and you’re right but does everyone agree with you? Maybe you should ask them? Stay at home can be fun but with you around home is portable as you’ve probably brought most of it with you. Look for traditional holidays, gentle affairs with lots of room for quality family time. Romance is wherever you lay your hat, Venus is in your sign so no need to look to far.

Leo

Something with a wow factor would be right up your Champs-Elysees, glamour and an opportunity to dress up is perfect and if it’s over the top on occasions that’s handy too! You like five star but if the budget is strictly two don’t despair, it’s not about the digs Leo, it’s really about nightlife and the opportunity to make an entrance wearing a show stopping number, Leo girls are just as showy. Love this summer might be a little too close to last summer for comfort.

Virgo

It’s not a holiday unless there’s nature, a walk around the lake and some rain isn’t going to put you off, not when your kagool is waterproof and the caravan has a quick boil kettle for a nice cup of tea after your ramble. Kendal mint cake is delicious. Planning a break is as much fun as taking it, but wherever you go you do need to be learning something as laying on a beach is dreary, you have a point. Love is amongst the deeply serious sorts who know their north from south.

Libra

Cover you in scented oils and slap a slice of cucumber on your eyes and you’re there, on holiday and hopefully the towels are fluffy and staff Hollywood good looks not too much of distraction. You don’t do camping, you don’t do caravans and you don’t do anything that has outside plumbing as wet wipes are not your friend. Think resort hotels, rows of cabanas for you to lounge in whilst eyeing up the talent, and talent there seems to be in abundance.

Scorpio

Holidays are all about retreating for you Scorps, not cutting yourself off whilst wearing a hair shirt and eating porridge for every meal, they can be as fancy as you like but silence is important. Somewhere for you to re-balance, take an inward journey and for some a spiritual air to proceedings would be welcome. A decent massage and some time to commune with nature helps too, what distracts you are noisy neighbours, bedrooms with lots of light bleed and shabby service. Romance is linked to overseas in August, pack your bags.

Sagittarius

You’re the backpacker of the zodiac and so what if as you get older the back pack turns into a suitcase on wheels and someone to push it along for you, the adventurer in you should never die! Sometimes however you read about it more than you actually do it, so is this going to be the year you actually book that big trip rather than reading the guide book? You enjoy the journey as much as the destination, a true traveller’s attitude. You’re particularly lucky in love right now, push it.

Capricorn

If it says room with a view, there better be a room with a view, a stickler for detail and getting what you’ve booked maybe letting a few things go would help slip into the holiday mood quicker? Choose places that have good accommodation at reasonable rates, not cheap but reasonable and value for money and if that means going abroad then so be it, but what’s wrong with Scotland? Right now your summer love opportunities comes from someone who really sees you, warts and all. Kiss a frog.

Aquarius

An independent traveller you really will think nothing of going out into the big wide world with only your wits to keep you, and that will do nicely! You’re not afraid or being on the bus, the train or a plane on your own and relish the thought of meeting new people along the way, eventually leading to a network of friends who provide you with free accommodation for ever. If travelling with family or friends try to remember they are there. Love is all about commitment right now, fly by nights need not apply.

Pisces

With the ocean lapping against the posts that support your bungalow you’re happiest if you can be by the sea, in it if you could. Fine things appeal to you Pisces and clean lines, nothing noisy, fussy or ostentatious is needed. A good swimming pool would help start the day of right followed by some quiet time reading and maybe some sightseeing later, nothing hectic, nothing structured nothing cheap! Jupiter moves into Gemini

Today, June 11th, the gift giver Jupiter moves into talkative Gemini for twelve months and encourages us all to look closer at great ideas we have but until now haven’t acted on. In the Qabalah Jupiter is the planet of the Sephira Chesed, abundance and kindness, home of the Masters; Gemini is represented by Hod the Sephira of images, clear images. Combine the two and the imagery of Jupiter in Gemini is obvious; by creating a clear vision, by working with enthusiasm and kindness, abundance can flow. However, there can be a trickster in the midst of Gemini, be sure your vision is one of your own making, be true to who you are and don’t squander Jupiter’s gifts trying to achieve the dreams of others, wake up, be honest about your goals and remember the only one to truly make it happen is you. It’s my Birthday today, with it comes my solar return, a great day to look back and to look forward. To plan by using the wisdom last year brought and to get excited about what’s ahead, but to know that none of it is any good unless I use this moment, the very one I am in right now. Accepting personal responsibility for action and inaction and not just from this life, time to do rather than dream and to remember not to be so heavenly minded that I am no earthly good. 

A new Moon is always an opportunity to start afresh, to begin new projects and as it’s in Taurus it directs you towards money matters, eating healthily and taking note of the beauty of nature around you. Whilst walking on the beach this morning I was directed to share the symbolism of the Merlin, or what he means to me. We all know the TV show and have an idea of what he’s about from books and movies but he is simply the embodiment of practical magical mixed with earthly application of his gifts and his guidance. Watch for your signs, listen to your inner guidance, seek the counsel of your chart, oracle and tarot cards but don’t forget to turn up at court and have your say, your kingdom needs you.
