The Mystical Qabalah isn’t easy to get information on, or is that true? Maybe there’s too much information and the real problem is in finding the end of the string, the starting point that will help lead you to the tree of life and the wonders it holds? Before you go looking however, maybe it’s a good idea to stop and think about what you want from such a journey? What are YOU looking for? No two journeys can ever be the same, they can be similar but never the same and the Qabalah recognises that, in fact it’s precisely how it works. By making it personal it fits your soul, feeds your spirit and intrigues your personality. Your first question is ‘what do I want from my spiritual journey?’ Trust your inner knowledge, but first you need to stop and listen to what it’s truly saying.

At 10:00 AM UK time on New Year’s Day I will be doing a meditation to help get things off to a good start in 2012 and I would be delighted if you could join me. This year the Winter Solstice falls on the 22nd of December, at 05:30 the Sun moves into Capricorn and the Holly King moves aside for the Oak King. Nights are getting lighter and the year’s end gives birth to the new. No matter what you call your midwinter celebrations they needn’t be bleak, you’ve thought and pondered, meditated and re-considered and that’s just as it should be. So now it’s time to go out and get it! 2012 is a year with more hype behind it than any other, the truth of it is very simple; the future of humanity is in humanities hands. There are many seen and unseen helpers, but nothing is cast in stone. What happens next is down to me, you, and you and you and you…..

Tomorrow, December 10th, there will be a full Moon in Gemini, a total lunar eclipse. For those of you living on the pacific coast of the USA if you’re up around dawn you will see the Moon turn red. Imagine how frightened our ancestors must have felt when this happened? Is this a sign of doom and gloom? No. It’s a magnificent astronomical event as the Earth, the Sun and the Moon conspire to put on a show. Astrologically full Moons are about letting go, this one may have more force due to it’s eclipse status but what or who you let go of is up to you, be it great big things or little annoying nit-picky details that don’t truly matter. Slow down, take a deep breath, sit under that Moon and reconnect to your own magic, listen to your own heart, your own emotions and trust that you are the one who knows best. As for fear? “If you are distressed by anything external, the pain is not due to the thing itself, but to your estimate of it; and this you have the power to revoke at any moment.” ~Marcus Aurelius.

Life, it doesn’t come with a manual. Really? Maybe it does but like all manuals we leave it in the drawer and try to figure it out on our own and we all know that leads to buttons being pushed that should be left well alone until the basics are understood. The Tree of Life offers a greater understanding of the world(s) we live in and the part we play, to know yourself and in doing so how you’re affected by what’s around you, how to take charge of those energies and make them work for you. What often puts people off is the enormity of it all, it’s a journey and like all journeys all you need do is put your foot out and then keep doing it until you reach your destination.
